Hunter Wellies
Hunter Wellingtons are not for all men. While a traditional must for farmers and such, the boots have definitely been embraced in the United States mostly by females. They are not something I would recommend wearing often but they are great to have as part of the arsenal. If you are at an event in muddy conditions wearing them fully exposed seems acceptable. However for regular wear on rainy days and such covering the boot with your pant legs seems like the way to go. I have gone with the black myself to add an ever so slight twist to the classic rather than going with the traditional green. If you do it right these are a great addition to a wardrobe.

Barbour Travel Bag
Barbour of course has an incredible, almost endless line of classic stuff. Although jackets are their specialty this travel bag is pretty impeccable. Wax cotton looks best when beat up and neglected so for the first time you may not mind, or perhaps you'll even be appreciative when the airport luggage handlers are throwing your stuff around.

Classic Film
Three Days of the Condor is a good movie, not great. Condor has a decent storyline, written by Reel Geezers’ Star Lorenzo Semple Jr. and directed by Sydney Pollack. The film has a classic cast including Faye Dunaway and Max Von Syndow. The mediocre if not predictable storyline however is irrelevant in the face of classic cool incarnate.
Robert Redford and his embodiment of all things timeless and awesome are reason enough to check out the film. The man of course has the best haircut ever captured on film, and it’s safe to say Redford emerged from the womb wearing aviator sunglasses. While there are a number of not so timeless ensembles; including prescription aviators and a jeans + sport coat combination that dominates a large portion of the picture there are a few gems that allow one to forget these fashion missteps. The herringbone sport coat is pretty sweet, as is the canvas and leather briefcase seen at the intro. The pièce de résistance is of course Redford’s pea coat. While I personally do not include a pea coat as part of my collection, limiting myself to the various shades offered by Barbour, the pea coat, and its turned up collar excellence, are exemplified by Redford towards the end of the film.
If you are looking for reasonable entertainment with impressive, if not inspirational style Three Days of the Condor is a classic choice.
