Hunter Wellingtons are not for all men. While a traditional must for farmers and such, the boots have definitely been embraced in the United States mostly by females. They are not something I would recommend wearing often but they are great to have as part of the arsenal. If you are at an event in muddy conditions wearing them fully exposed seems acceptable. However for regular wear on rainy days and such covering the boot with your pant legs seems like the way to go. I have gone with the black myself to add an ever so slight twist to the classic rather than going with the traditional green. If you do it right these are a great addition to a wardrobe.
